CAPA – CABLE PROTECTORS: a twenty years lasting story

Laying on the ground cables, pipes or ducts requires safety and attention to avoid the risk of stumbling for people and the risk of damaging cables due to people walking on them. In other words, making transit areas and passages safe has become an important prerogative that led, in 1994, Molpass to search for a solution, which concretized in Capa cable protectors. The function of Capa cable protectors is to keep walkable passages by holding cables and connectors in order to compose a well-ordered wiring. So far, Molpass has designed six models: Capa Junior, CAPA MIDICAPA 100.1, CAPA 100.2, CAPA 100.3 and the brand new CAPA MAXI 1 and CAPA MAXI 2.

CAPA – CABLE PROTECTORS: technical data

Capa cable protectors have two parts: the base and the lid. Cable protectors’ base is printed in a black, low-density and semi-rigid polyurethane foam, while the lid is printed in a orange (yellow or black on request) polycarbonate. The base, thanks to its material, fits all surfaces, in and outdoor, with holes for fixing it to the ground. The lid, instead, appears very visible for its color, which helps avoid any claims for injuries of damages. Capa cable protectors can be used in different scenarios because they come out with the maximum class of fire reaction (CLASS 1), an excellent resistance to solvents, acids, oils and atmospheric agents and a 29,5 GΩ insulation resistance. Moreover, Capa cable protectors have a permissible rolling load of 17 daN/cm², which allows heavy vehicles to cross them.
